Some gods are known from extensive bodies of myth, while others appear only in a handful of inscriptions, place-names or later traditions.

The aim is not to reduce a deity to a simple list of attributes or associations, but to explore the stories in which they appear, their relationships with other figures, and the religious and cultural world to which they belong.
